Nominator's project description
| Professor Eli Barkai from Bar-Ilan University in Israel Professor Barkai is well known internationally for his original and outstanding research in the field of statistical physics on the nano-scale. He has made seminal contributions in the theory of ergodicity breaking in statistical systems. He has done innovative work on anomalous kinetics and single molecule spectroscopy. He also has been awarded the prestigious Krill Prize by the Wolf Foundation and recently the M. Bruno Memorial Award. During his stay in Germany he collaborates in joint research involving aging dynamics in glasses and anomalous classical and quantum transport in biological and disordered solids. Professor Eli Barkai is hosted by Professor Peter Hänggi at the University of Augsburg |
